Our today’s guest is Dr. Peter Kent from UK.  Dr. Peter Kent has been headteacher of Lawrence Sheriff School in Rugby since 1999. Lawrence Sheriff School became a Teaching School in 2012 and also delivers the UK government’s leadership training programme for middle and senior leaders and headteachers. 

Dr. Peter Kent is a former President of the Association of School and College Leaders. Since finishing as ASCL President, Dr. Kent has joined the Executive of the International Confederation of Principals and is now their Incoming President. He was a member of the Ethical Leadership Commission and currently chairs the Warwickshire Challenge Board.

Our today’s guest is the Laureate Professor of Melbourne Graduate School of Education, and Chairman of the Board of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership, Prof. John Hattie.  

Professor Hattie's work is internationally acclaimed. His influential 2008 book Visible Learning: A synthesis of over 800 Meta-Analyses Relating to Achievement is believed to be the world’s largest evidence-based study into the factors which improve student learning.  

Involving more than 80 million students from around the world and bringing together 50,000 smaller studies, the study found positive teacher-student interaction is the most important factor in effective teaching.

Our special guest today is Prof. Michael Fullan. He is an  Author, Speaker, Educational Consultant. Prof. Michael Fullan is a well-known expert in Whole System Change in Education and the Global Leadership Director, New Pedagogies for Deep Learning. He is a former Dean of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) of the University of Toronto. Prof. Fullan advises policymakers and local leaders around the world to provide leadership in education. Through his work with NPDL, he encourages a transformative approach to education, seeing teachers as 'activators of learning' who should help pupils to discover their talents and passions. His writing and advocacy work is based on research and practice from the public and private sectors. Nowadays we observe that our society is going through crises in all spheres of life, economical, political, etc. And education turned out to be one of the most sensitive spheres. How to improve the educational system?

Our today’s guest is Dr. Eduardo Andere from Mexico.  Dr. Eduardo Andere is an educational analyst and writer on topics of public policy, education policy and comparative education. He is a visiting scholar at Boston College and affiliated with the Center for Teacher Training and Education Research in Mexico.  

Dr. Andere has a Ph.D. in Political Science from Boston College, Master degrees in Economics and Public Administration from Boston University and Harvard University, respectively, and has a Law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City. 

Dr. Andere is a lecturer, keynote speaker and advisor to schools and governments. Author of 15 books in education and learning.

Dr. Abdulla Rasheed is a distinguished educationalist with 30 years of experience in the field of education. Dr. Rasheed began his career as a school teacher, 5 years later he became a supervisor and worked on this position for 5 more years. Dr. Rasheed served as a principal of government schools for 18 years, was the Vice Rector of Avid College, Maldives. Right now, Dr. Rasheed is the Head of the National Institute of Education, and the Minister of State for Education, Republic of Maldives.  

In this Live Broadcast, we are going to talk about the goals of today’s education in the Republic of Maldives and in the world, its content, about the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning. Our guest speaker is Dr. Rajeev Kumar Upadhyay —  Director of Hindustan College of Science & Technology, Farah, Mathura (Uttar Pradesh).   

He has been conferred with awards such as “CERTIFICATE OF MERIT” by Quality Council of India, Rajeev Gandhi Excellence Award, Vidya Rattan Gold Medal Award.  

His research interest includes modeling large scale systems, manufacturing and automation, additive manufacturing, 3D printing, and industry 4.0. He published in 12 journals, presented, and peer-reviewed 33 papers. Also, he has published three books about manufacturing science and mechanical engineering emerging vistas.
