On this episode of the Creative Spin Podcast we have fun going over some weird tech that popped up at the CES floor this year. Some are actually pretty useful but, on the other hand, others are just bottom line ridiculous. Let us know in the comments which one you you liked the most.
For today’s podcast we decided to travel all the way to the Netherlands to speak with YouTuber and content creator Lila. We go over how it all started to where she is today. She had the opportunity within this last year to meetup with other creators, like Cody Wanner, Peter McKinnon and so many others, that helped to inspire her in continuing this journey. She’s just an amazing creator and her videos are proof of that. Jump over to her channel and check them out, I’m sure you will not regret it.
Here’s the first podcast of 2020! Jamie and Colin dive into a list of Pet Peeves they have in a business setting. Let us know in the comments if you agree with our pet peeves and share which one’s you have on your end.
On this episode, Jamie talks to Kelly Glover from The Talent Squad, a podcast guest booking agency for entrepreneurs. Kelly shares the advantages of podcast guesting as a way to establish authority, to increase brand trust, an to share content. The benefits of connecting podcasters with great guests are endless and this is the opportunity to find out all there is to know about it. What can a remote island in the Azores offer a creative mind? Terry Costa, our guest this week, gives us the answer. Born and raised in southern Ontario, Terry is an artist in every sense of the word. Founder of Miratecarts, creator of many projects, and a Portuguese-Canadian at heart, Terry has been the face of so many great projects. After spending a decade in Vancouver, where he also dedicated himself to the arts, Terry decided to return to his parents’ roots in the island of Pico, where he found a haven for artists.
Today we speak to another creative mind! Andy Marshall is our guest, all the way from Adelaide, Australia. A compulsive creator (his words!) that after working for a few years in the film industry, traveling around the country, decided to get back to his creative origins. Using social media and all the platforms available he decided to try it out. We’ll be going through the whole process of how he got his passion for creativity and drawing into an actual “day to day” adventure. Make sure to follow Andy to follow his creative journey:
Let’s talk Cybertruk! Specifically, the marketing strategy behind Tesla’s new truck. How much value is there in using everyone else’s platform to talk about your product? Well, Elon Musk figured it out! Without spending basically any money in actual marketing dollars, he was able to get the message out VERY WELL. Jamie and Colin go over the numbers and opinions on this strategy and we also find out if a Creative Spin Cybertruck might be a future possibility! ;)
This episode has a different spin! We go all the way to Germany to interview Jonathan, an American artist turned designer and entrepreneur in Germany. The journey began a decade ago while performing musical theatre and doing voice over. During the day, he was studying graphic and web design and soon discovered there was a need for online courses to teach creative people. A very interesting and inspiring story worth listening to! Episode #40! Can you believe it? This one has a different setting too. Jamie and Colin decided to record this one in the car while driving to meet with a client in a nearby city. They look back at how much the podcast has evolved and go over some of the interesting conversations they've had through these 40 episodes. They even talk about some new tech and give their two cents about them. Basically, two guys in a car having a conversation! Join in and have a listen.
WRITE about what you KNOW On today’s episode, Jamie and Ana sit down with author Anthony de Sa to discuss his new book, Children of the Moon. They discuss De Sa’s journey from his first book “Barnacle Love” to his research in Africa, the fascinating people he met, and the intense effect this experience had on him.
