What do you fear? we are wired for fear. what about when the Savior asks us, "where is your faith?"

This meditation is the second part of the episode "Courage & The Pot of Gold" from The Creative Spiritual Journey Podcast .

“Master, carest thou not that we perish?” the disciples cried to the Savior as the waves and wind battered their little ship (see Mark 4:37–38). In times of despair, we may find ourselves desperate for help and questioning the Savior’s care for us. However desperate our situation may seem, Jesus Christ has the ability and power to ease our burdens, rebuke our troubles, and say to us, “Peace, be still” This meditation is intended to help you receive the Lord’s peace and calm during the struggles and storms you encounter.

Today is day 400 of our mission! Can you believe it? We just returned home from exploring Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana. the highlight being Victoria Falls, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. Which got me pondering on this word "Wonder" and how we experience the Love of God through wonder. I think I say the word wonder about a thousand time,. check it out and you count. And I'lll see you on the trail.

Ghia—Do you love the Winter Sun? Jesus Christ “is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was made.” And believe it or not, the sun is actually good for us.

When our children were little they needed- a night light, I think most children do because of the fear of the dark. I get it- especially if you have an active imagination, who knows what’s lurking in the dark :) but I’m not talking about that kind of night light- I want to talk about the stars in the night sky and haw we can find our way in the dark, and hold on until the morning dawns.

Have you ever felt the challenges, stress and demands too much and your faith starts weavering- the lights seem to go out and there you are in a spiritual darkness. That’s where I want us to journey today- asking the soul searching questions: Does God know me and care about me? How can I feel His love and draw closer to Him? Especially when I find myself here in the dark.
