I invited Ari Andersen from Vistity to talk about how their digital platform can help cities and destinations to share their stories. In addition to tourism, a city can also use this tool for economic development purpose to attract new businesses to expand or relocate to this city. Universities can use this tool to create a digital version of the university campus and showcase it to incoming freshmen.

One of my favorite books about Las Vegas history! This book is called "Quiet Kingmaker of Las Vegas: E. Parry Thomas" by Jack Sheehan. It is about a pioneer, visionary called Parry Thomas, how he helped shaping the Las Vegas skyline that we see today, and how he helped founding University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

I met Motov at CES (Consumer Electric Show), the largest tech convention in the world, in Las Vegas. They are an urban tech startup based in South Korea. They create ad displays on top of taxis or uber, and each display consists of 32 sensors that collects more than 100 datum outputs about street information, road condition, air quality, weather, and other data point to help local government decision makers to make our city safer and smarter.

In today's book club, we talked about "The Power Broker: Robert Moses and the Fall of New York Paperback" by Robert A. Caro. This book is about Robert Moses, who was the single most powerful man of his time in New York City real estate development. He was also very influential in building freeways and infrastructures across the country.
