This episode we bring you another WFTB Creator Spotlight. Chris is joined by Clay from the “Ranger Alliance” podcast to interview legendary writer J.M. DeMatteis. In a career that has spanned 40+ years Mr. DeMatteis has written for DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, Wildstorm, Vertigo, Epic and Paradox Press. The character's he helped either shape or redefine include the JLA, JLI, Batman, The Spectre, Spider-Man, Harry Osborne, Kraven the Hunter, Doctor Strange, Daredevil, Man-Thing, and the Silver Surfer just to name a few. He has written for various animated movies and TV shows including Superman: Red Son, Constantine: City of Demons, Justice League Dark, Batman: Bad Blood, Batman vs. Robin, Justice League Unlimited, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Spider-Man: The Animated Series, Legion of Super Heroes, Superboy and Teen Titans Go! Chris and Clay talk to Mr. DeMatteis about his career, his experiences writing for Marvel and DC, deep diving into the history behind some of his most celebrated storylines, and what he has in store for the limited series comic “Justice League Infinity” that he will be co-writing with James Tucker (a producer on JLU) with art by Ethen Beavers.
