  • Total solar eclipse, a year later

A meditation on the natural awe of this universe. A reflection on those three minutes that the moon eclipsed the sun, right in front of our eyes.

  • Shomps & Tube (est. 1985)

This piece covers some intense topics. Please take care while listening.

This is one of those episodes that I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. It was an absolute honor to work on this, and get to know Peter and my aunt a whole lot deeper.

Thank you to Ellen Horne for helping me sort out my emotions while making this. Thank you to James and Justin for your time and trust. And, of course, thank you to Aunt Annie for walking through the world with silliness and love.

  • The Long Trail Diaries

My best friend Sam and I set out to hike the entire state of Vermont. The trail is hard as f*ck: uncomfortable, unforgiving, and almost always raining. Along the way, we're forced to confront every challenge -- physical, emotional, and uncomfortable insecurities. By the end of it, we are certainly smelly and deeply changed.

Music by Blue Dot Sessions. Thank you to Kim Shirin Cupal, Qingyue Zheng and Sarah Kate Kramer. And also, big love to my girl Sam Shaevel; thank you for being my teacher.

A sonic letter to my seventh grade self.

The music you heard comes from Nat Strand and Sam McMullan, who goes by Cicada Killer. They both are insanely talented.

  • Cavs vs. Warriors, Game 7, 89-89

There’s one video on the internet that I return to more than any other that exists: the final 3 minutes and 39 seconds of Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals. The score is tied at 89. The Cleveland Cavaliers, my home team, are facing off against the unbeatable Golden State Warriors.

I grew up on Cavs basketball. As a kid, I had two dreams: one, to play in the NBA; two, to become LeBron James. I often sported my goofy Varejão wig, clutched an autograph from Daniel “Boobie” Gibson from his day camp, and waited year after year for a miracle that never came.

    Until 2016.

The Cavs had never won a championship. No team had EVER come back from a 3–1 deficit in the Finals. So many people lost hope.

But, Cleveland reminded me what's possible when you believe.

  • Tether

Stella was my childhood best friend. These days, I mainly see Stella as a name in a group chat of middle school friends. I fly home to ask Stella what happened to us and try to grapple with growing apart.
