Writer JEAN RHYS (1890-1979) is best known for her award-winning novel 'Wide Sargasso Sea'. In the later part of her life, she lived in Cheriton Fitzpaine. In this drama documentary - written and presented by MARY STEPHENSON from Colebrooke - we hear about Mary's experiences of helping Jean work on her autobiography. In the first of a new series of conversations with local people, we meet JOJO HOGAN, a New Zealander who once lived in Crediton, and has now returned to the area after an 18 year absence. She tells MARY STEPHENSON from Colebrooke what changes she's noticed in the Crediton area since coming back.
