Cornerstone Community Church :: Nick Reed :: Sunday, April 7, 2013

Christianity isn't about rules, traditions, or moral living; it's about Jesus Christ. Following a ministry spotlight on our Sunday School by Kara O'Byrne and Traci Thomas, Nick Reed preaches about the wedding at Cana in John 2, where Jesus first miracle of turning water into wine overturned the cultural expectations for salvation and established Christ as the center. Do we make our Savior the center of all we do?

Cornerstone Community Church :: Kyle Clarkson :: Sunday, March 31, 2013

"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" (1 Cor. 15:55) Sin and death have no power because Jesus Christ has conquered both when He died and rose again. This Resurrection Day sermon by Kyle Clarkson relates the story of Easter as God reaching down, giving us His Son and asking us, as Christ did with His first disciples in John 1, "Follow Me."

Cornerstone Community Church :: Alan Crim :: Sunday, March 24, 2013

For this week's Ministry Spotlight, Ashley McCoy describes the problem of human trafficking and how the Church can practically help victims in Iowa. Alan Crim follows with a Palm Sunday message on "John the Witness" from John 1. John the Baptist was a man who was credible, courageous, and all about Christ as he came to bear witness to the Light. John's message to "behold the Lamb" is the same one we are called to deliver as witnesses in this world.

Cornerstone Community Church :: Kyle Clarkson :: Sunday, May 12, 2013

"When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” (John 5:6) Our Mother's Day service begins with an important and exciting update on our relocation efforts from Rollie Clarkson, followed by a video about 'Being Mom' (which you can view here). Kyle Clarkson finishes with a message from John 5, where Jesus heals a paralytic man, and in doing so shows His concern for not only the physical state but also the condition of our heart and soul.

Cornerstone Community Church :: Alan Crim :: Sunday, May 5, 2013

For this week's ministry spotlight, guest Chris Wilson from JUMP (Johnston Youth Mentoring Program) presents this important program and challenges Cornerstone with giving mentoring a try. Then Alan Crim preaches from John 4:46-54, the story of Jesus and the royal official, connecting faith in Christ to a need, a motive, and the increase that results.

Cornerstone Community Church :: Austin Temperley :: Sunday, March 10, 2013

If the evidence was found to be contrary to what you believe, would you change your beliefs? Austin Temperley begins a new series on the Gospel of John, spotlighting the evidence for its historic reliability, "written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." (John 20:31) We are also encouraged to read ahead in the coming weeks, ready to be amazed by what God reveals in this gospel.
