  • Easter: The Invitation to Love
    Nick Reed :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, March 27, 2016
    Everyone has the same need to know and love and to be known and loved. Nick Reed preaches an Easter Sunday message on the death and resurrection of Jesus that is proof of God's love. A living Savior is our invitation to abundant life and freedom from sin, and knowing how loved by God we truly are should change the way we live.

  • Psalm 22: Our God Is Near
    Tim O'Byrne :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, March 20, 2016
    God, where are You? Some of us feel alone in our pain, separated from people and even God. Tim O'Byrne takes us through Psalm 22, where David's pain and isolation draws a picture of what Jesus would endure. Tim reminds us that there is freedom, relief and redemption, not in repressing our pain, but expressing it to a God who is near. Despite what we feel, in Christ we are never alone in our pain because of a Savior who suffered pain and knows all about feeling alone. Tim's message follows a brief announcement from Karen Metzler about Dinner for 8.

  • Psalm 103: Our God the Sin Remover
    Tim O'Byrne :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, February 28, 2016
    "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit…" (David in Psalm 103) Tim O'Byrne preaches a message about a God who intervenes in our mess like a loving Father to lift our burden, removing our sin as far from us as east is from west. In Christ, we can let go of our shame and guilt and find freedom in His forgiveness. Tim's message follows brief announcements about upcoming events, including our Easter Egg Hunt March 26th.

  • Psalm 127: Our God Who Is Our Purpose
    Nick Reed :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, February 21, 2016
    Children are arrows and parents are archers, and eventually we will need to let our kids fly. Where will we aim them? Our February 21st Connect service began with a baby dedication, a time of prayer and pledge of support for our kids and their families in raising them in the Lord. Nick Reed then preaches from Psalm 127, reminding parents to hold up our children in prayer, consider them a blessing (not an inconvenience), and keep God the target of our own lives. We can't change the hearts of our children, but we can be faithful in teaching them to love Jesus in faith that He who loves them more that we ever could will never stop pursuing them.

  • Psalm 51: Our God Who Forgives
    Kyle Clarkson :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, February 14, 2016
    David, a man after God's own heart, was also an adulterer and a murderer, and the prophet Nathan in 2 Samuel 12:7 calls David out: "You are that man" who sinned. Kyle Clarkson reminds us that we all have the same capacity to sin as David, whose failure followed by God's forgiveness in Psalm 51 is the topic of today's message. Kyle notes that we must understand our past, profess our responsibility by confession and renunciation of sin, and realize the powerful love of God is undeserved and unconditional. In Christ, the broken can be whole and the lost can be found. Kyle's message follows a brief report by Mark Kline on 4 missionaries we will take an offering for February 21st.
