Truly worshipping God involves seeking a relationship with Him simply to know Him and be in His presence; any material gain derived from this relationship should be secondary. This means that believers must examine our motives for everything we do.

We can actually praise Him without a single word; genuine worship is not complete without giving. Giving must spring from our relationship with God, not from a mindset of what we can get from Him. When we truly know God, our giving will become a reflex action.

Knowing Jesus Christ intimately simply to have His presence in our lives should be our first priority. Being born again positions us to receive the blessings of Abraham, which include physical wealth and possessions. However, these things are not the blessings themselves, but the results of those blessings.
