like the blood of Jesus, grace does not simply cover sin—it completely removes it. It is impossible to truly believe in Jesus Christ and remain unchanged; genuine faith in Him is bound to transform us.

Jesus loves us so much that He took all our sins on Himself and died on the cross on our behalf—the realization of this should trigger a positive response from us. Believing this will cause us to love Him back; truly encountering grace frees us from bondage.

As Christians, it is important for us to know how to respond to the finished works of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ declaration that “It is finished” just before He died meant that He succeeded in doing everything He came to earth to do. Everything we need is now available to us. We are free to simply receive from our heavenly Father.

We will not see results in our lives if we ask God to do something He already did, or to do something He told us to do. We have been given the right to command and the right to use God’s power; we received these rights not because we earned them, but because of His unmerited favor toward us.
