Professors can either make or break your university experience, especially as an undergraduate student. Although they may be intimidating and hard to approach, they are also one of the best resources available to you. We invited Dr. Kemple from the University of British Columbia to talk about his journey and advice for students.
Thomas Kemple is Professor of Sociology at the University of British Columbia. He teaches courses in social and cultural theory, and has co-coordinated the Urban Ethnographic Field School and the Global Seminar in Guatemala summer programs since 2010. He has published books and articles on classic thinkers in the early days of sociology, and is currently working on a research project about university and community partnerships in the Global North and South.
