What is critical feedback: brutal honesty? Nope, it's when the emotion + feedback is high. 

Why does it happen? Your client or customer doesn't know your business. They are trying to let you know something doesn't feel right and don't know how to convey it. They are passionate - like you. They know their business.

Tips:

  • If it's an email or text, schedule a meeting
  • How to prepare. Check your work. Spelling etc, check reneders, etc. 
  • Research the client and their business, ask the questions, and get to know the why.
  • Follow the creative critique process.


Creative defend but not argue. Participate in the dialog. Don't be a flower pot. Don't push issues that are extremely heated - get down to details. Make changes, be fluid.
