participants are to take the recording of me reading these very instructions and remix them in the order of participants that we determine as a group during our next sunday meeting on july 10th.   

participants are not allowed to record any original audio from acoustic or virtual instrument sources, but are allowed to sample and remix the previous participant’s remix of this original recording of me reading these instructions to you now.  i encourage you to sample my voice beyond it’s recognizable source, turn me into an oscillator as a hum like mmmmmm, turn me into a drum machine as a make strange attack noises with my mouth such as click pow boom keeeeeersh squiiiiiii.   

but understand that you aren’t all remixing this recording you’re hearing now, but rather the previous participant in the order we determine. player one will remix this untouched recording, player two will remix player one, etc etc.   

this project requires you to play your part in the chain so that the order of participants can run it’s course. do not volunteer to participate in this piece if you do not realistically think you can do your part in the chain at some point this month. remixes will be made in chronological order as the month progresses, meaning player one will make their remix much earlier in the month than player ten, etc. all this is to say that you should volunteer accordingly, if at all, depending on your schedule this month. if you bail, you fuck it up for everyone after you.  

participants should make their remixes no shorter than 3 minutes and no longer than 6 minutes each.
