1. What are The Chronicles of Narnia and what was Lewis' inspiration?
2. Modern day appeal; differences between Narnia and the Lord of the Rings; and the movies and the books.
3. Themes and Questions
In this episode we talked about the inspiration for Tolkien's Middle Earth and its influence across the fantasy genre. We spent the most amount of time on our last point regarding the themes of the Hobbit, but far more particularly of the Lord of the Rings. These themes can be summarized into "Corruption, Compassion, and Companionship."
