About Professor Jamel Donnor: Jamel K. Donnor, Ph.D. is a socio-legal scholar in the School of Education with faculty affiliations in Arts & Sciences and William & Mary’s Law School. His primary area of research examines race and its relationship to American law and educational institutions—centering on legal actors, ideas, and the life opportunities of Black people in the United States. His areas of expertise include: race and inequality in American education systems, intercollegiate athletics, American conservativism, the conservative legal movement, education law and policy, and intercollegiate athletics.
