Ben leads Matt and Jess in their discussion over episode 55 of Critical Role. This one was a combat heavy episode so we shift focus to what was going on inside the player characters' heads; including, but not limited to, sexy demon voices. We also ruminate on all of the baggage these characters will have to unpack in the next session, and where everything up to now fits with the overall story. What a charming episode.

They start off decyphering the meanings behind Fjord's wet dream of Uk'otoa, talk about the party meeting a butcher in a market, and then our new favorite NPC voice in a hut, Madam Musk. Then we meet up with an old friend that some of us may, or may not, have completely forgotten about.

Jess, Cate, and Dustin dig in to Xhorhasian Lore with Episode 52 of Critical Role. Entering Asarius in style, we discuss warturtles, demonic portals, and a big furry boy...oh my! With a cliche rat in the basement quest and a chance to curry favor with the Empress, we focus on what's really important - this year's award for the Best New Shopkeeper!

Jess, Ben, and Matt discuss Episode 51 of Critical Role and boy does this one get fun. Turns out, Dunamancy is pretty scary with it's combat uses. We meet and lose an NPC but it's okay because we meet another NPC that get to keep. We also debate what it would take for the group to give up the dodecahedron. And what's waiting in the City of Beasts?

Cate and Dusty take over this week and guide us through The Mighty Nein's journey to Xhorhas. After wrestling some Ropers, the group is rewarded with Kobold diplomacy and a new "temporary" friend. The M9 then has to sneak past some very large and dangerous Fire Giants to continue their Underdark Adjacent Adventure.

Dustin, Jess, and Matt wade through the tears after crying about Nott's backstory. They quickly go over level 8 options and then delve deep into lore.

Herky, Cate, and Ben discuss Campaign 2 Episode 48 of Critical Role: Homeward Bound. We ponder over Beau's slots, making deals with powerful wizards, dunamis, and WHAT THE FUCK, SAM RIEGEL?

Jess Cate and Dustin gush over DnD sea monsters, discuss How successful will Fjord be in leaving Uk'otoa behind. They also spend more time talking about the sea battle than the actual length of the sea battle in game. Up next, Nicodranas.

We're back in the new year to discuss episode 46 of Critical Role Campaign 2. The Mighty Nien wakes up in a port. We get mead and honey bees, a reminder that a war is still happening, and then get both a lore bomb and a backstory flurry sent our way. We're left with a lot of feelings about Yasha and end with more underwater shenanigans.
