Criticism comes in 3 flavours that I have seen. Criticism of others, being criticised and self criticism. They are all created in the same way from certain false ideas. The thought that there is a right and wrong way to do things, the misunderstanding about where our feelings are coming from and the idea that thinking about someone else or ourselves is ever true. No matter what type of criticism we are party to, these things are true. And when we see that, we are more able to take criticism with a pinch of salt.
As we become the awareness of the critical thoughts we can take a step back and observe it playing out. Maybe the clearest thing to see is that all criticism is a lie!
