Crone Life Joy Chat: Madame Menopause Changing the Body Image Culture with Jacinta Richmond
In this episode Jacinta and I chat about how the Capitalist Consumer culture of recent decades has been harsher on a woman's body than generations before - thanks to the media and social media cutlure. Come the menopause & mid life journey, our bodies change but the culture hasn't. We grieve our bodies & hate on what they have and are becoming. It's time to focus on positive body appreciation & change the culture for the generations to come.
Jacinta also shares about how her mum's death in Jacinta's midlife sparked her to re-prioritize her life make big changes in how she took care of her own desires.
Jacinta's career background began as the door bitch of the major Melbourne nightclubs in the 1990's. Onto managing said clubs & live band venues, a 5 star resort in Fiji, the Australian Ballet School, the designer behind Melon - crochet bikinis, a published author of Toxic Virus followed by Single & Fabulous, a fashion publicist & columnist, the founder of the Sunshine Coast Style Awards & the Sunshine Coast International Fashion Festival. Looking back - EVERYTHING was about image. In 2022, Jacinta switched focus to become a Master Hypnotherapist & began focussing on postive body appreciation for those on the midlife & menopause journey.
A proud Crone, owning the title, the greys, the wisdom & speaking her mind, Jacinta - AKA Madame Menopause - is helping women move through the very real mid life grief they are feeling for their bodies to embracing their bodies for the miracles they are and bringing a swing to their hips.
Jacinta hopes to create a global movement of women embracing positive body appreciation through her hypnosis programme Madame Menopause & affiliate program the Madame Menopause Movement for now and generations to come.
