This week our Executive Director Trey Hopkins helps us think through how we can use the good gift and tool of technology with wisdom. Technology should not be approached with unhinged fear or unfettered affection but with wisdom rooted in the fear of the Lord.
This week our executive director, Trey Hopkins, unpacked Genesis 9:5-7, as we considered the Christian worldview's counter-cultural theology of life. Though there are numerous ethical and moral issues an categories that could be tackled, this week focused on the intrinsic value of every human life - as image bearing persons - from the moment of conception.
This past Sunday we continued looking at the topic of suffering and death that we began last week. Pastor Brad walked us through Philippians 1:16-23, and expounded Paul's words regarding how the Christian is to approach the prospect of death.
This week, lead pastor Brad Andrews walks us through the counter-cultural way that the people of God endure and persevere through suffering. Unpacking 1 Peter 1:3-9, we see how the Christian faces suffering with an unwavering confidence in Jesus Christ, their "living hope."
In our sermon series "Counter|Culture" this week, Pastor Brad taught about a growing and influential movement seeping into the church: progressive "Christianity."
Though not a unified or ideologically new development, its common denominator is a desire to rewrite essential elements of biblical teachings. As Christians, we are called to examine and unmask the untruths of this movement for the sake of the purity of the church and the protection of the Christian.
We launch into a new series this week with a message from our lead pastor Brad Andrews looking at the moment we find ourselves in as the Church in our culture.
