In the midst of chaos and distraction, God’s people are called to pay attention to the God who is with us.

Christ is so much more than one who simply protects us. He provides, leads, and honors all his people.

The blessed life is one rejoicing as forgiven ones who proactively pursue God and rejoice in Him. How do you do that?

Through the characters and lives in this portion of the “story” of Jesus, we see the kingdom of God displayed.

God’s call for his people to be a family that loves God, loves each other, and loves the world.

As Jesus is arrested and put on trial, we see Jesus live out “Not my will, but Yours be done” while the disciples continue to say “Not Your will but Mine.” This is why Jesus came to die…so that his people can finally die to themselves and find life.

Hundreds of years of Passovers culminated in the night that Jesus celebrated it with His disciples on the night before He became the final Passover.  And in that final meal He forever changed the celebration to what we know as the Lord’s Supper.

The baby Jesus was the light and glory God had promised who would address the hearts of mankind.
