The pandemic sent the entire world into a panic. China was hit the hardest at the outset of the pandemic while the rest of the world looked on. In this episode, we welcome Andy Jensen to the show as a guest speaker. Andy is an American who has been living in China for the last 4 years. When the COVID-19 pandemic started, Andy opted not to return home and instead continued to live in China. He shared his thoughts and experiences of staying in China while the pandemic ravaged the world. What he had to say was quite shocking. Interviewing for a job can be stressful, difficult, and at times, downright weird. Maybe the interview questions had nothing to do with the nature of the work or maybe you regret one of your answers. In Part I of this 2-part episode, Aaron and Kyle discuss some of the awkward realities of interviewing for teaching positions in Asia, as well as the types of teaching gigs and what one can expect. 

Kyle and Aaron go into a deep dive about everything you'll need if you want to teach English overseas, In addition, we talk about some horror stories when the process goes awry, and what you should do to avoid being in an awkward/unfortunate situation.
