You need friends. And not just any friends. You need God fearing, Jesus loving friends.
On this episode, we discuss one of my favorite friendships in the Bible. We discuss their story and what it teaches us about the type of friends we need and about type of friends we need to be.
Suffering is bad, right? That's why we avoid it, isn't it? What if we are wrong about suffering? What if suffering is for our good? The Bible says that Jesus learned obedience through suffering. It also says that we are blessed when we are persecuted. If that's true, why do we work so hard to avoid it? We'll answer this question by looking at the life of John the Baptist as it sheds some light on the purpose of our suffering. We'll discuss all this and more on today's episode of The Cross Examination Podcast.
Anxiety is at an all time high and with everything going on in the world, it's easy to see why. How should Christians respond? What is the biblical response to anxiety, worry, and fear? How does God call us to respond to anxiety? We discuss these questions and I share my story about how I recently responded when the weight of the unknown overwhelmed me.
On this episode, we discuss the characteristics of God's love. The word tells us that God's love is sacrificial and it is transformation. What does this mean for us? And how do we love others the way he loves us? Join me as we discuss all this and more.
