Jesus demonstrates His deep compassion and desire for healing and restoration when He says, “Yes, I am willing,” to a man asking for healing. This shows that Jesus is always ready to help everyone.

We are called to be passionate about our faith and actively use the gifts we have been given. Just as Jesus inspires the Israelites to rebuild Jerusalem, He calls us to make a positive impact on the world. When we feel God’s stirring, it is a sign that we already have what we need to act. To bring about change, we must be diligent and use our gifts consistently. Jesus is willing, but are we?

God calls each person to awaken and use their spiritual gifts. Believers are encouraged to engage actively with their faith, embracing the unique talents and abilities given to them by God. Worship, gratitude, and seeking God’s presence are central to the Christian life, and there is an invitation to open one’s heart to God’s intervention and miracles. The service is filled with songs and prayers that create an atmosphere of thankfulness and reverence, drawing participants closer to God’s presence.

The sermon emphasized the importance of stirring up and reaching out to others, urging the congregation to draw near to God with a pure heart and hold fast to their faith. When we look at the plight and life of Mephibosheth, we can see the character of David. This story is a precursor and illustration of God’s character towards humanity. Much like David calling Mephibosheth back into the throne room from exile, God is calling you and I to do the same through the work and sacrifice of Jesus. Do we hear this call and are we willing to accept the gracious gift God has given us through his son Jesus Christ. It is a story of redemption and restoration and that story can continue today through Jesus Christ.
