The angels were directly involved in paving the way for the Christ as they announced firsthand to those who would play a significant role in the Christmas drama. They look at Christmas with utter amazement -- so much so, that they joyfully sing. If the angels are in awe of what God has done through Christmas, how much more should we?

The first people that heard the proclamation of the birth of Christ were not the nobles nor the professional religious class, but the humble class of shepherds. This goes to show that in the kingdom that King Jesus has come to establish, what’s down is up and what’s up is down. The message of Christmas is a message of love and grace.

The birth of Christ in Bethlehem brings together royalty and simplicity, chaos and peace. Christmas reminds us that God meets us in a place of messiness and weakness in order to elevate us to a place of honor and glory and to restore peace in our lives.

The prophets lived in the midst of chaos yet looked into the future with the hope that God would restore and renew the world through the ministry of the Messiah. Christmas reminds us that God is faithful and that he always fulfills his promises. We can now see what the prophets couldn’t see -- The fulfillment of their prophecy - a fulfillment from the place that no one expected - from below, from the obscure and insignificant.

The church in Antioch was the first church to think missionally in an organized way.  They sent out teams of leaders to catalyze the gospel in the great cities of their days. As the church in Antioch, Crossbridge seeks to do the same. Through The Bridge Movement, we have been fulfilling this mission in Miami and abroad.

Paul travelled to Ephesus to establish the House of God amongst the Ephesians. As a result, tangible transformation took place in the life of that city. The economy was changed and justice was ushered in, as the house of God was manifested in that place. We as a church seek the renewal of every city we are inserted in. We are not seeking to be a great church as much as we are seeking to build a great city.
