The pressure on the church in every generation is the same: move the pillar. Move it a little so nobody gets offended. Move it a little so culture approves. Move it a little so the message fits the moment.

But the church was never called to author the truth. We were called to hold it up.

We are reminded that God is not surprised by our exhaustion or our failure. He often waits for us to reach the end of ourselves before He says, now let me show you what I can do. If we find ourselves worn out and wondering whether to try again, this message speaks directly to that place and calls us to push out one more time.

What happens when the miracle we have been praying for finally arrives at our door, and we are too afraid to open it? Acts 12 gives us one of the most striking and honest pictures of the gap between our prayers and our faith. Peter is miraculously freed from a Roman dungeon, led through layers of guards by an angel, and brought to the very door of the house church that has been crying out to God for his release. And yet when he knocks, the people inside struggle to believe it is real.

This message invites us to examine that tension in our own lives. We pray bold prayers, but do we truly expect God to answer them? Do we recognize the breakthrough when it is standing right in front of us? The story challenges us to move beyond a faith that is comfortable praying for miracles while keeping the door locked against the very thing we asked for.

What does it look like to be anointed for increase, and why does God sometimes call us to move and wait at the same time? This message takes us deep into the life of King David, exploring the three distinct anointings he received and what each one meant for the expansion of his calling. We see a man who was overlooked by his own father, who spent years running from enemies, and who made serious moral failures along the way, yet remained the apple of God's eye.
