Born in Welkom in the Free State.
Married with 3 married Children & 7 Grand Children.
Start a career in Horticulture in Pretoria where I studied and worked for Pretoria Municipality until 1991 when I left to KZN Pinetown where I was employed and worked as Director Parks at the Borough of Pinetown.
Change of Government. As Director Parks was responsible to amalgamate all parks functions from all the Municipalities within the Inner West into one Parks and Recreation Department and was also responsible representing my Council in the amalgamation process transitioning all Councils into the Durban Metro Council.
I was appointed Deputy Head Parks Leisure and Cemeteries; Durban Metro Council heading up the Department responsible for Parks, Verges, Arboriculture, Beaches, Swimming Pools, Natural Resources, Community Halls, Stadia (Excluding Moses Mabida) and sport fields.
Part of a top management team within the Durban Metropolitan Council working close with Politicians and Communities. Responsible or approx. 1800 staff as well as operational and capital budgets for the Department amongst others.
Chaired the Festive Season Management Committee during the Dec Holidays.
Retired in 2015 after 41 years.
Monitoring Legislation and raise awareness. I attended a meeting in Merewent in 2020 addressed by Pastor John van Niekerk concerning the Concord Judgement in 2020 regard to Independents Candidates now being able to participate in National and Provincial Government, which I considered an answer to many years of prayer for Government.
So, in our togetherness commence a journey towards righteous government which is very similar to a “change management” scenario.
Blessed is the nation whose Lord is God and my addition the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob.
What we are working towards for future generations: Also providing a place and space where citizen engagement in Government and governance is prioritized and included in the governing of the Nation of SA.
My motto: Occupy until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ but live as if He can return at any moment.
