A Today we're taking some time to focus on what every athletic coach, every musician, and every teacher like to talk about—today we're going to talk about the fundamentals.
At Crossgate Church, we've got some fundamentals:
· We've got our definition of a disciple: "A disciple is a growing follower of Jesus, who lives and loves like Jesus and leads others to follow him."
· We've got seven priorities: Glory, Truth, Love, Prayer, Community, Generosity, and Reach.
· We've got a simple question: "What's your next step?"
· We've got a short, concise, and focused purpose statement: "We make more and better disciples for Jesus Christ."
D Matthew 28:18-20 – "And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Join us as we conclude our teaching series based on Ephesians, truly one of the greatest "books" in the New Testament. Lot's can be said about this book—and we WILL say a lot in this study—but the key theme throughout the letter is "the power of God's grace." In fact, the word "grace"—pound for pound—appears more in the letter to the Ephesians than any other book in the Bible.
We hope you have been encouraged and have drawn closer to God through this study.
(Today's Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-18)
We continue our teaching series based on Ephesians, truly one of the greatest "books" in the New Testament. Lot's can be said about this book—and we WILL say a lot in this study—but the key theme throughout the letter is "the power of God's grace." In fact, the word "grace"—pound for pound—appears more in the letter to the Ephesians than any other book in the Bible. And the word "power" appears as much in Ephesians as it does anywhere else in the Bible.
So we invite you to join us on this journey of learning more about God's grace and how to live in the power of His Spirit.
(Today's Scripture: Ephesians 6:5-9)
