Crossing the Bridge

Listen Later

In "Crossing the Bridge," Theresa & Sherry take listeners into a blueprint draft of their wholistic neighborhood, using the bridge as a loose metaphor.

They discuss concepts like:

Tensegrity (an architectural term), broken down to tension & integrity, the balance of compression & tension. Within this model is the distribution of weight and why we need certain stressors to grow.

Bridging (one way the metaphor is animated), taking the practices, teachings & "aha" moments off-the mat, cushion or table and into the world of everyday living. The bridge lends itself well to the individual and the collective, both in its design and multiple purposes.

In-Construction (everything is in a constant state of change), always re-building without judgment, even when abiding, for however long, in what was already created. The cycle of creation, preservation & dissolution are universal truths that show up in many ways.

The Bridge is movement, it is connection and possibility. The Bridge is a way in, as well as a way out.

*** This episode is the first time since the end of Season 2 that the two hosts recorded from the same place. They gathered in Sherry's backyard gazebo to a natural soundtrack of a variety of chirping birds.

These conversations have opened doors for the development of future programs (live & virtual). As always, please stay tuned...
