God saved His people as they fleed Egypt. He showed them His salvation while they stood by and watched. Israel was powerless to save themselves – they faced certain slavery or death at the hands of the Egyptian army as they were beside the Red Sea. But salvation didn’t come to them by anything THEY did – only God had the power to save them. And He did!

Thus the Lord saved Israel from the hand of the Egyptians...Exodus 14:30
