Discipleship to Jesus isn’t accidental. It takes intention. It takes faith. It takes trust. It takes a turning from your way of life to his way of life.

True joy is found in living like Jesus. Our joy can be made complete as we live in a way that reflects the life of Jesus.

While it may seem that joy has been elusive or snatched away from us, there is a joy that’s available to us that no one can take away. Where is lasting joy found? It’s found in the person of Jesus.

God’s never-ending reign assures us our grief will be healed. Just because you move on from a loss doesn’t mean you’ve healed from a loss. God is good enough to give purpose to your pain, your grief, your loss.

Hope in our grief grows out of the truth that we rehearse. Through lamenting, we pour out our heart and we are anchored in the truth of who God is.

It’s through yielding our grief that we journey toward healing from grief. We must surrender our grief to God if we’re going to grieve well, because when we make that choice, it’s a mark of trust.

How do we walk through struggle? Articulate your struggle, questions, and doubts to God. Bring other trusted of followers of Jesus into the struggle with you. Cling to Jesus.

Good grief articulates the sorrow you experience. Healthy lament needs to be put to words—we must name our grief.
