燈火相傳-延續我家使命-一脈雙承 : A Christian home, in uncomplicated terms, is one in which God is alive and present in the lives of its members. It is Christian not just in name, but in reality—Christ is present through His Spirit in the lives of His followers who live there. Intergenerational ministry starts in the family, and starts with the parents. Without godly parents, it is very difficult to produce godly children, and godly parents will surely affect the generations to come. The effect can be long lasting. God never just wants one generation to be His disciples. He starts with a generation in the family and aims at affecting the succeeding generations to do the same. The Great Commission can be best carried out at home. Parents, being the leader of the house, are responsible for building and improving the spiritual life of their children, in turn pass on the faith to the next generations. This sermon series focuses on how to leave a multigenerational legacy of faith, asking the question, “Everyone leaves a spiritual legacy, whether for good or bad—what legacy will I leave to my descendants?” There are things parents should learn and do to begin this journey of passing on the faith. Even s/he may not be parents yet, s/he is already planted in the family for this task. I want each of my audience to be convicted that he or she is the main person God has installed in the family to begin this mission of spiritual succession.
