In the second part of this series, Steve lines out the mission & purpose of the Church worldwide and then goes on to talk about the doctrines & beliefs of CrossPoint Fellowship -- what are essential beliefs and those that are nonessential. Lastly, he shares the 5 expectations that the church will have on its members and the vision for the church stated in sentence form.

Pastor Steve started a new series to help give our church the vision it needs to move forward as a body of believers concerned with loving God, caring for one another and reaching the world. By taking an in-depth look at the early church, we can glean some ideas and prepare for what God wants the Church in North America and CrossPoint Fellowship to be for the here and now.

On the day CrossPoint took the Lord's Supper together, we remembered the night Christ was betrayed by reading in Matthew and took a look at the instructions for taking communion together by looking at how the early church did it in I Corinthians.

A look at Benaiah's brief story in the Old Testament and how it can teach us what living beyond ordinary looks like in our lives today. But it won't be easy - it takes courage, a desire to be something different and bigger than ourselves and a spirit that can overcome the resistance that will follow.
