We are sinners by nature. David declares in the Psalms he was wicked from his mother’s womb. We, like him, are born in sin. Our parents had to teach us to behave. They didn’t have to teach us to be sinners. We were born with that. It came naturally.

On 5 different occasions, Luke, the Good doctors made it a point to let us know Mary and Joseph sprang into action to do certain things because they were written in the Law of the Lord. He was emphatically pointing out the parents of Jesus were committed to the Law of God (the Scriptures).
