DANIEL 1
Steve Wiggins
ABOUT THE MESSAGE: As believers, we have a calling from God upon our lives. But, without the Bible, we lose our sense of purpose and focus on that calling. Daniel lived in a time similar to ours – a time of woke leaders and reliance on human reason. A time went the culture had departed from worshipping the true God and turned to idolatry, which led to God’s judgment and captivity. Almost ten thousand were taken into captivity, but only four are mentioned as godly – Daniel and his three friends. They were not distinguished as righteous in contrast to the Babylonians but in comparison to the other Israelites. What made them stand out in God’s eyes, and how did their choices affect their nation? Listen as Steve Wiggins answers from Daniel 1.
