Local church - a group of saved and baptized believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together in biblical community, to carry out the Great Commission.
1. The early church was marked by devotion to the Word.
2. The early church was devoted to each other.
3. The early church was devoted to praying.
4. The early church was in awe of God's work.
5. There was unity in the community.
6. The early church was a family.
7. The early church worshipped with distinction and God did the work.

Titus 2:6-8
Biblical discipleship is investing God's Word and Christ's character in the life of another.
1. Call them to cultivate self-control
Self-control is Self-surrender to the Lord
For us to have self-control...
- Know your vulnerability
- Know God's solution
2. Call them to be examples of godly work
Being an example is...
- Living differently
- Looking for opportunities to lead through action
3. Call them to a life of integrity
4. Call them to practice sound speech
5. Call them to live a life that can withstand false accusations
Be a person of:
--Self-control
--Godly works
--Integrity
--Sound speech
--Faithful

Teach sound doctrine.
Mature Man: Live Spiritually Mature1. Be sober minded
2. Be dignified
3. Be self-controlled
4. Be sound in faith
Mature Ladies: Live Spiritually Mature
1. Be reverent in behavior
2. Don't be slanderers
3. Don't be enslaved to substances
4. Teach what is spiritually good

Titus 1:10-2:1
Biblical Discipleship is investing God's Word and Christ's character in the life of another.
- Prepare for the reality of opposition
- Confront false teaching with the Truth
- Know the culture and people that you're called to minister to
- Correct with the goal of them turning and embracing God's Truth- Be faithful present Truth and trust God with the results

What kind of leaders should we look for?
- A person with Christ-like character
- A person who leads their home in a biblical way
- A person who lives with credible testimony
- A person who keeps their fleshly desires in check
- A person who reflects God's love
- A person who hold's firmly to truth and willing to instruct others

- Are you living as a servant of God?
- Have you embraced your new assignment given by God?
- Is your life being lived for the spiritual benefit of others?
- Are you proclaiming the gospel?
- Are you producing any spiritual children?
The Call to DiscipleshipPart 3Deuteronomy 6- See yourselves as stewards of His Truth- Remember your heart towards God is the key to obedience- Remember living the way God instructs us leads to the blessed life- Teach them to love God wholeheartedly - Teach them to plant God's Word in their hearts and to share it through daily living- Teach them to let God's Word filter and direct their lives
The Call to DiscipleshipPart 21 Corinthians 3- Seek to discern their spiritual condition and feed them what they can digest- Lovingly call them out of fleshly living into spiritual living- Remember God is the only one that can produce spiritual growth- Be faithful with your roll in His work- Make sure the gospel of Jesus is the foundation- Remember your work will be tested
