Jehovah Rohi, the Lord Our Shepherd, is a beautiful name for our God. Most people know the famous passage of Psalms 23 which describes God as our Great Shepherd! This concept of God the Great Shepherd is a very ancient description of the Lord. In the Bible, Jacob is the one who uses this name in Genesis 49:24 to describe how the Lord is with us. This Sunday we look into the powerful name of Jehovah Rohi, Lord our Shepherd, and learn how committed He is to His children.

On Resurrection Sunday Pastor Lynn preaches on God's name, Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer. Isaiah 53:5 says But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. This Sunday is Palm Sunday! On Palm Sunday the waving of the palm branches declared the victory of the Messiah as He was led through the streets of Jerusalem. In the spirit of this significant day, Pastor David continues our series on the names of God with an emphasis on Jehovah Nissi - The Lord Our Banner! This name of God is found in Exodus 17:15: "Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner."   A banner is used to declare or advertise something. Jehovah Nissi is the name used by God to declare His faithfulness to His children. The name represents every good and perfect gift that comes from our Heavenly Father. His name reveals our identity as sons and daughters of the Most High God.  Jehovah Nissi is another name for the powerful saving grace of Jesus Christ and through His final work all the privileges afforded to His children.
