Phil Heller 10/16/2022 We each have different strengths and weaknesses and are called to community & unity despite this. We should be mindful and respectful of the weaknesses of others, but not fearful. We live in the tension between what might be a freedom of “strength” and how we can support and serve those in “weakness.”

Phil Heller 10/9/2022 It’s natural to live for ourselves but we are called to live for God as “living sacrifices” and that is challenging. Our minds are naturally focused on self or sin but we were created to please and pursue God.

Andrew Bondurant 10/2/2022 All the promises in Romans 8 sound great. But if God has abandoned, rejected, and failed to keep his promises to the people of Israel, how can we know he won’t do the same to us? Paul reminds us, God has kept his promises. And he always will! God is Holy and God is faithful. He cannot sin, so he will not sin against me.

Andy Teare 9/25/2022 Romans 8:18-39 is filled with four great promises of God: HOPE, HELP, PURPOSE and SECURITY. Our HOPE far outweighs our suffering. God has sent His Holy Spirit to HELP us. Our PURPOSE, as His children, is to be conformed to the image of Christ. And nothing can separate us from His love (that's SECURITY)! As children of God, we can have absolute confidence that everything that happens to us is in our best interest.
