The final three verses of Hebrews 7 drive home the author's argument for the superiority of Christ's Melchizedekian priesthood over the Levitical priesthood. Jesus is a perfect priest that offered a sufficient sacrifice. He rose from the dead making him a priest forever and able to secure eternal redemption.
