Jesus didn’t come just to make bad people good; He came to give life to those of us who were dead. Our problem is not only the bad things we do, the fundamental problem in our lives is our spiritual death. We don't just need renewal, we need a resurrection. We don't just need Jesus to move us from bad things to good things, we need Jesus to give us new life.

God gives us the gift of hope. The hope He gives us is not simply a wish, or a dream to achieve, or a maybe, but is a state of peace and assurance that what He has promised He will fulfill.

Discouragement is found everywhere, especially when our hope is not in Christ Jesus. Therefore, we must at all times fix our eyes on Him who is Almighty. So that when the storm hits we may find refuge in our Savior.

Depression does not go away automatically. Without Christ in your life you have no power to change your situation or yourself. Christ wants to be a vital part of your life and, if you give Him control, He will help you. Once Christ is a part of your life, ask Him to give you a new purpose and a new meaning to life.

God does not promise us a life without problems, but he does offer us a life without worries, that we experience hope once again. God gives all the grace and mercy we need to have hope every day. We all have daily problems, but as children of God, we also have daily mercies.

God is the father in this story, the one who gave everything to bring you back home. Who ran to you. Who gave up everything for you and who offers to clothe you with power and grace. None of us is beyond the reach of God's grace. No sin is too wicked; no place too far; no misdeed too severe; no shame too great; no corruption too advanced and no sin too foul. He is able to save every last one who comes to Him through Jesus.

Changes do not happen by thinking that you can just change scenery, nor do changes happen by just trying to change with our own strength, and much less do changes happen when we only have a superficial relationship with God. Jesus is the one who has opened the door to the Father's house. He is the one who invites those who have been far away and those who have thought they were close, to have a genuine relationship with the Father.

How can we grow in spiritual maturity and better relationships with others? God caused us to be born again through His Word; however, He never intended for us to remain spiritual children. Therefore, to grow spiritually and in our relationships, starting with God, we must be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.
