Regardless of your age, culture, education & background: we all need family. The reality is that in Jesus, our personal actions, steps of faith & prayers don’t only affect us but also have a ripple effect with our brothers and sisters. This gives a whole new understanding of what it truly means to be “our brother’s keeper”. As we look at Family Matters today, we will be emphasizing what it means to be a family that prays. May today’s message empower you to “Keep Knocking”.

Landmarks exist for a reason. They define who owns what in order to eliminate disputes. When we live inside the landmarks, things work well. When we try to live outside of those landmarks, problems occur. Somebody is trying to move the landmarks God has given us for life. What do we do?

At Crossroads we believe that Because Jesus is real we are a family of faith, fully engaged, transforming our community and our world. But how did the modern church arrive at the conclusion that Jesus was in fact real and that he existed, furthermore, how do we know his claims are valid and what bearing does that have in how we live our lives today? As we look at the documentation of the resurrection of Jesus Christ we hope to discover for ourselves what it means for Jesus to be real.

Who is Jesus? This is a question that has been asked and answered, over and over again, for the last 2000 years. And the responses are as infinite as the stars of the sky. But the Bible reveals to us who Jesus is and what He is like. John sees various visions of Jesus throughout the Book of Revelation. But the revelation of Jesus in heaven is powerful. And it will change our lives.

One of the things that are so amazing about the Lord is how unexpected things are. God never quite does things the way that we think they should go. For many this is challenging. But for the person who loves to walk by faith, it is awe-inspiring. As we continue to see a unique view of heaven, we will meet some creatures that we do not expect, whose job is to remind us of the most important things!

Do you ever wonder what heaven is like? We all do. What happens after we die? What will eternity look like? As we continue in our study in the amazing Book of Revelation, the scene shifts from the seven local churches that Jesus wants to minister to heaven. And what we will see is breathtaking.

Lids can be awesome when used appropriately… Yet sometimes, lids can become a barrier instead of a blessing. In the case of the paralyzed man who was carried to Jesus by his 4 friends, the roof of the house where Jesus was preaching prevented the man and his friends from the healing influence of Jesus. What are the structures in your life that are keeping the gifts of a faith and influence from fully transforming you and those around you?
