Few things break our hearts more than watching someone we love self-destruct. But the hard thing is, sooner or later, we all make choices that harm ourselves or other people. What’s truly beautiful is God is a Father who always welcomes us home...no matter how far we’ve run. And whether we’re making those choices, or standing in judgment over someone who is, Jesus has something to say to us in the Parable of the Prodigal Son. So don’t miss Sunday’s message!
Whether you’ve been walking with Jesus a long time or you’re just curious about who he is, we’ve all ask the same big questions… “If God is real and good, why is there so much brokenness in the world? Why doesn’t God do something to heal the world's suffering?” Those are pretty heavy questions, and the answers inform the way we live. In this week's Legends message we'll look at the Parable of the Wheat and Tares...and Jesus will answer some of these big for us. So if you want to understanding the good and bad of life (and what God has to say about it all), don’t miss this week’s message, and invite others to join you on the journey!
Have you ever pulled up a map on your phone and ended up in the wrong place? And when you realize it, you sit there wondering what to do next. We all know what it’s like to be lost....it doesn't make us "less than" anyone else, it just means we need the steps to move forward from where we are! Our lives are the same way...when Jesus reaches out and finds us, he doesn't leave us on our own...he restores us to a life so much better than the one we left behind. So bring your family and friends and discover how to find the next steps God has for you!
Life can be strange sometimes, can't it? The same event or experience can produce radically different responses from people. When someone cuts you off on the freeway, you might barely notice it, or you might get enraged. Jesus inspires drastically different responses in people too. No one can stay neutral when they meet Jesus...his stories always peel back the layers of our hearts and show us where we’re really at. This Sunday, invite friends and family and come explore one of Jesus’s most famous stories, the parable of the soils.
Whether you choose it or it sneaks up and hits you in the face, transitions happen and they're never easy. What if you could get a map and instructions for coping with life's transitions? Don't miss Arise, our new series from the Book of Judges...through the experiences of Joshua and the Israelites you will learn, just like they did, how to find the rest you long for, and how to step out in faith and follow God’s commands in order to see his promises made real in your life.
