Crossroads - Weekend Messages

As 2016 draws to a close, we realize that God is on the move in a big way here at Crossroads. A few times every year, we gather together for a Vision Sunday. It’s a great time and opportunity to reflect on who we are, where we are, and where we believe that the Lord is leading us. “When God Flexes” is the name of our special 2017 Vision Sunday!

For many people, Evangelism is a big and scary church word. But in reality, it is simply a declaration of God’s greatest gift to mankind - Jesus Christ. “The Gift” is a special 4-part midweek series at Crossroads. We hope you can join us over the next four weeks as we unwrap the foundation of evangelism, the function of evangelism, the form of evangelism and the strategies and tactics of evangelism.

We have saved the best for the last! As we bring this Real Talk series to a close, we end on perhaps the most foundational teaching of Jesus. When asked to simply summarize the teachings of the Old Testament, He did so by quoting two specific Scriptures. When we get this right, we discover the real life God intended for us from the beginning.

Socrates famously said, “Know thyself.” He was trying to help people get that the more they understood themselves, the better they would understand and relate to the world around them. People struggled as much in the time of Christ as they do today getting their heads around this concept. That’s why Jesus used a moment of conflict to help us grasp some of the most essential things about ourselves. Join us this weekend as we allow Jesus to help us “Know Thyself.”
