Jenny’s guest for this segment is Pastor Jack Hibbs, the senior and founding Pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, based in Southern California, Founder & President of Real Life Network, and a nationally syndicated TV & Radio host. They are talking about his book, “Living in the Daze of Deception: How to Discern Truth from Culture’s Lies.”  He shares with us how Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become an increasingly challenging task—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. "Living in the Daze of Deception” explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and how you can discern the difference. The greatest antidote to deception is truth. Equip yourself now to grow in discernment so that you can protect yourself from error and remain steadfast in your faith! Jenny had the opportunity to sit down with him at this year’s NRB - the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. Her feeling of abandonment came from never knowing her father and her mother’s institutionalization for mental illness.  She faced those tumultuous years by leaning on her faith in God.  Charlene shares insights about her close friendship with the late Tammy Faye Baker and the lessons we can all learn from her.  

Jesus told us the importance of forgiving and spoke the words about forgiveness from the cross!  One of the hardest things for us to do is to forgive and it’s not only required of us, but it’s one of the best gifts from The Lord!  Jenny interviews Melanie Azarcon where we will hear a powerful testimony on forgiveness and the freedom it brings.  Melanie suffered terrible abuse for years as a child and emotional abuse throughout her life from the one person she should have been able to trust. She helps us understand why Jesus tells us to forgive 70 times 7. Forgiveness doesn’t condone wrongdoing; it liberates us from carrying the burden of resentment.

Sometimes things are going good and all of a sudden, life takes an unexpected turn. When Jesus walked the earth, we heard about how he stopped whenever he was “interrupted.”  And what about Mary-the mother of Jesus, the disciples, Moses, Jonah, Gideon or Joseph, just to name a few. Their plans were certainly changed! Sometimes it aggravates us, but interruptions may be divinely placed in our life for a reason.
