Regarding today's SOAPBOX ----Perhaps you're not familiar with the terminology of getting out a soapbox--a platform to stand on in a crowd in which to make a speech. Often times it served for politics, but originates from the times in which speakers would elevate themselves above the ground by standing on a wooden crate that was used for the shipment of soap or other dry goods from a manufacturer to a retail store.
