Becca and Baylee talk about the injustice in Minneapolis and all over the U.S. What happened, why does it keep happening, and what is our role in stopping it? This episode explores a lot about police officers, racism, injustice, and what it means to truly be an advocate and not just a social media warrior.
Baylee and Becca set challenges for each other while they're still mostly stuck at home. Baylee got a new car, Becca is transitioning back to work, and both are still trying to navigate what the hell is going on with COVID19 and how to make the most of it all.
We FINALLY figured out how to record a podcast while maintaining social distancing. Baylee and Becca talk about what life has been like with all of the chaos, what they're doing to stay sane, and what they hope to accomplish during lockdown.
Taking a break from the heavier Crosstalk topics, Baylee and Becca briefly discuss how the show and receive love after taking the love languages quiz but the real fun begins when they read through the 9 types presented by the Enneagram (including their own), how spot on or dead wrong their results were, and even finding what celebrities they share a type with.
In this interview-style episode, Becca and Baylee reminisce about their childhood. In the first half, Becca opens up about her relationship with her mom and her 4-sister-sibling dynamic and a family experience that changed everything. In the second half, Baylee talks about balancing relationships between biological and step-parents and how she uses her experiences to cultivate an environment of consistency and security for herself, her marriage, and her family she hopes to start one day.
Listen to Becca and Baylee open up about their personal struggles in a society dictated by body image: Becca tells new developments of her health and wellness and butchers the word "triglycerides," and Baylee talks about how keeping a gratitude journal has helped her start loving herself and finding more peace in the day to day.
It's our first episode, so hang out for a few minutes and get to know us and what our hopes are for this podcast. Thanks for listening, be patient while we figure out how to work modern technology, and get ready for more content-heavy episodes coming very soon! And again, welcome to Crosstalk!
