Are you more of a thermometer or a thermostat?
A thermometer simply tells the temperature. If you live in Arizona, it might read 84 degrees in November — it reacts to what’s happening around it.
But a thermostat? That’s different. A thermostat is connected to the HVAC unit. It doesn’t just reflect the temperature — it helps set it.
Do you tend to act more like a thermometer than you'd like to admit? When things don’t go our way, we can complain, overthink, and slip into the “that’s just how it is” and victim mindset.
In our message this week, we’ll learn from the Apostle Paul how to have a Resilient Attitude — one that doesn’t simply react to circumstances but is shaped by connection to Jesus.
When we're connected to His love, compassion, forgiveness, and strength, we don’t just identify the problems — we start responding with His peace, His truth, and His purpose.
Discover how being connected to Jesus gives you a stronger, more resilient attitude.
The sermon entitled "Resilient Attitude" was preached by Pastor Dan Solofra at CrossWalk Church as part of the "Resilient: Finding Joy in Difficult Times" message series.
