Our series Jesus - The Real Action Hero is in the second half of Mark chapter 4 this week. The disciples found themselves in a huge storm while they were in a boat out on the Sea of Galilee. Their reaction to their situation reveals some things about their faith. And it teaches us some things about how our faith should impact our life situations.

We're taking a break this week from our current series, ''Jesus The Real Action Hero,'' to take a closer look at our Student Ministry here at Cross Culture. The teenage years can be a confusing, complicated and pressure packed time. Jesus was a master teacher, and parables were one of His favorite methods of teaching. The Gospel writer Mark records almost all of Jesus parables in Mark chapter four and today, Pastor Clay is going to walk us through the first parable of the chapter, the parable of the sower, the soil and the seed. As youll hear today, the condition of a persons heart is critical if theyre going to be productive in the kingdom of God.

We all face obstacles in life but have you ever thought about the obstacles to following Jesus? As we continue in our series ''Jesus - The Real Action Hero,'' a study in the book of Mark, Pastor Clay is going to point out two glaring obstacles seen in chapter 3 that keep people from following Jesus.

Last week Pastor Clay began to show us some important truths about grace from thE second chapter of Marks Gospel. Today, were going to look at two more very important truths about grace. The religious leaders of Jesus day had totally misunderstood what Gods grace was, and how it was received. As you might guess, Jesus wastes no time getting to the truth about grace. Christ paid the price for you and me to have all that God has for us. But have you ever stopped to think about what all grace means?

Grace. Just the sound of the word seems comforting. But how often do we really stop to think about grace and all that it means for our lives? As we continue our study through the book of Mark, we come today to the calling of Levi, or Matthew as Jesus is going to call him. Its a beautiful example of what happens when Jesus come into contact with a person, and as Pastor Clay is going to explain Levis life would never be the same once the grace-giver came his way. As we continue our series from the book of Mark today, we come to chapter 2 and the story of a paralyzed man who needed to come to Jesus, and four friends that were going to do everything they could to make sure that happened. In todays message, Pastor Clay is going to show us what it took for these men to do what they did. Were also going to see the result of their effort. Its a great story of compassion and determination.

Were continuing our study in the book of Mark in our series, ''Jesus - The Real Action Hero.'' This week, we'll hear how Jesus' action rescued all of us from Satans power and from our own sin. The problem for many though is that they arent living daily in the victory that Jesus secured. Pastor Clay is going to give us two very important pieces of advice to help us live in the reality of the victory that has already been won.

What does it mean to be called a minister of the Gospel? Of course in a very real sense all followers of Jesus are called to minister in His name, but what does it mean to be called a minister of the Gospel and to be called to full-time vocational ministry. what role does the church play in that call?
