On Palm Sunday, many of the Jewish people were excited for an upcoming immediate change in their lives.  What Jesus had said as he was being crucified, however, changed some of their eternities.  We need to keep in mind the selflessness that Jesus showed in His final hours.  We need to look out for individuals we come across in our lives, rather than worry about the future - which is ultimately under God's control.

Who can rob you from the promises of God? No one! It may seem like we go through some terrible things, but we should remember this: If God was willing to give His Son for us, then He is not going to abandon us! God can turn any situation around and make our most terrible moments come to a good end. Take peace in knowing that He knew you before you were born and predestined you to be saved and to have a fulfilled life!

This week, Pastor Doug looks at the situation in which Pilate had found himself regarding Jesus.  The Roman governor had to decide what to do with Jesus.  Similarly, we all have our choice regarding Jesus.  What will you do with Him in your own life?

We are the sons of God, the heirs of Christ. With Christ, God is our Father. Without Him, God is our judge.

This week, Pastor Doug takes a look at two people in their prophesied betrayal of Jesus.  Judas had no hope after he realized what he had done.  Peter, on the other hand, sought forgiveness and was quick to get back to Jesus. Our faith in Christ's goodness and sovereignty will determine how we repent.  Do we believe that we can fix our own problems?  Do we surrender our daily will to live the way He would have us live?  Do we realize that Christ has already worked out our salvation, and that we don't even have to fix our own problems?

We once lived under The Law. If you broke it, punishment came instantly - an eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth. The Law sentenced everyone to death because we could not keep it. But there's good news! Jesus paid for our sin and we are no longer under the law! We are made righteous in Jesus!

This week, Pastor Doug shows us that we can have all of the strength of will that we can have, but that the flesh is weak.  We need God's strength in our lives every day in order to live His will as He would have us live.

We are called to lay down our lives to live and care for one another. Love isn't a word or a series of words, it is actions we do that show love to each other. We need to focus on where we agree rather than where we differ.

This week, Josh Knipple challenges us to consider what it means to become more and more like Jesus.  How do we recognize the people around us who are marginalized by society?  Do we reach out to the hurting and broken?  How can we bring the healing power of Christ to those who need it most?

One thing all Christians have in common is temptation. The specifics of the temptations vary from person to person, but we all have them. The devil does a good job of making us feel like we're the only one struggling with our particular issue and that God is somehow disappointed in us for our failure, but, as you will see in this message, that is not the case!
