As the world becomes a more frightening place, we can often find ourselves worried about the future. This week, Pastor Doug shows us that God has these dark times in His plan. God is working to show His character and relentless love. We can be be comforted in knowing that He is still in control, He is still powerful, and He will set up a perfect place for His church forever. Although we don't know how or when God's plan will play out, our calling is to be faithful to His word and wait for His return.

The final seven-year period mentioned in Daniel 9 tells us of God's ultimate wrath upon the earth. This week, Pastor Ben explains some of what is known as the Tribulation. This is not a time where God steps away from the people on earth. Instead, this is a time where God is putting an end to transgression and draws His people to Him. Even today, as during the Tribulation, God will use suffering to bring people into relationship with Him. We must recognize our sufferings as opportunities to be closer to our Heavenly Father.

Popular culture shows the horror that will occur on the earth after the Rapture. Pastor Doug shows us this week that we believers have a different hope. Our hope that we will spend eternity with Christ is driven by our faith. We should be excited for the Rapture to occur, as it is the beginning of that time with Him in unity. We should also live our day-to-day lives motivated by the idea that any given day may be the day we are called to see our Lord.

This week, Hamilton George presents us with the challenge of the Old and New Covenants. While we often look to the differences between the two, it is important to recognize the similarities. God's promises have become increasingly specific throughout history, and the New Covenant shows that our obedience can transform into the image of Christ.
